Harrah's Player Room Review
Good room, great comps

Room Quality Rating: 4
Room Quality Description: In an enclosed, smoke free room that used to be the sports book across a hall from the current sports book. TVs everywhere. Classic rock played on the speakers, but with all the action at night it was barely audible. Decent tables and chairs. Genesis Bravo electronic list management with at table check in/out. $100 bills play. HOWEVER, Carnival Court is right outside the exit next to the room, so the back wall is shared with the stage. It can get VERY loud when the band or DJ gets going. Higher rake than industry standard - $5+1.
Competition Rating: 4
Competition Description: The morning nits/rocks were noticeably tougher than the looser, drunker nighttime crowd. Both can be profitable, but different techniques are required. The night crowd was of your typical chip spewing variety, no different from any other mid-level Vegas room.
Dealer Rating: 5
Dealer Description: Solid to excellent. Had control of the drunks at night and were able to handle with aplomb the nits in the day. Great personalities - some of their jokes were actually funny! No mistakes in multiple sessions.
Cocktail Rating: 4
Cocktail Description: Speedy and accommodating, but not much to look at. My club sandwich arrived FAST, the fries were hot, and the server set up the table for me. Oh, and the sandwich was delicious.
Management Rating: 5
Management Description: Friendly and welcoming. Great in explaining the Brunch Club promo to me, getting me on the list and quickly seating me before the promo time expired. Met Leo (HLV poker guy) and he seemed genuinely happy to meet an AVPer - yes, Leo, your promos and support on AVP drew me into your room.
Comps Rating: 5
Comps Description: This is where Harrah's excels. $1/hr plus tier credits on the Total Rewards card, which paid for a delicious club sandwich and fries served tableside, PLUS the Bailout and brunch club. The Bailout is more for locals, as it has a monthly hours requirement, but the brunch club can be easily attained by any tourist. Play for three hours starting no later than 11:59 AM then play three more hours before midnight the next day (including if you play the next morning) to get $30. I did this in one day and it's an easy way to make extra money. Also, jackpots for quads, straight flushes and royals.
