Luxor Player Room Review
$1-$2 NL lots of action
01/18/09, Player: socalvegasmk
Total Rating: 2.85
Room Quality Rating: 2
Room Quality Description: They've moved their room more than once in the recent past so that gets quite annoying after a while, but it seems they've settled next to the sportsbook (again) for now. Can get a bit cramped on the weekends; not a real "room" - roped off section.
Competition Rating: 5
Competition Description: The Luxor does have it's share of loyal locals who regularly play, but it's rather easy to spot them and stay out of their way. The $1-$2 NL game attracts younger tourists who play with a lot of naked aggression. Very easy to stack players if you're patient
Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Other than the competition, the dealers are the only other reason why I play in tis room. The dealers are competent and very friendly, especially on the graveyard shift. They keep the game going at a fairly good pace and are knowledgeable on the rules.
Cocktail Rating: 2
Cocktail Description: Some of the waitresses here have the biggest breasts in town, but are otherwise not that attractive. Their speed is fair, but they're not very friendly
Management Rating: 4
Management Description: The floors are generally well organized and very friendly. If they recognize you from previous sessions, they'll go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and be more generous on the comps (see below)
Comps Rating: 2
Comps Description: No players card or any systematic comp system. Just $5 comp cards that you can use around the hotel. Room rates are terrible and offer only a slight discount from the normal prices.
