Bally's Player Room Review
Fish fry, Vegas style!

Room Quality Rating: 3
Room Quality Description: I like playing here a lot, but let's face it, the room ambience is on the sketchy side, even by Vegas standards for small rooms. The room is essentially part of the pit area, which I happen to love, as it adds a festive gambling mood, and also attracts random passers-by. But the chairs are not comfy, some smoke drifts over from the pits and bar, and the decor is ... non-existent. Quality gets an "average" here solely because the location is directly responsible for the fish fry that the room hosts beginning 10:00 pm and running until the fish have all been consumed (well, wrung dry of cash, at least). Play here for the ultra-soft NL cash games, not for fancy and high-falutin' scenery.
Competition Rating: 5
Competition Description: For some reason, the late night NL games consistently offer a nice selection of quality fish. Take a few minuts to identify the calling stations, the bad bluffers, and overly aggressive "I've seen this on TV" types, and you should have a good outing. Steer clear of the 2 or 3 other sharks at your table who have the same plan as you do; predators don't attack predators for a reason!
Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Dealers are not the best on the Strip, but they are skill-wise comparable to most smaller room dealers, and have the personality to handle the drunken play common late night. Solid overall.
Cocktail Rating: 4
Cocktail Description: Drink service is quick because the bar is next to the room. The room does not offer premium drinks. I don't grade on attractiveness, but I will say that those who are looking for hot young waitresses need to keep looking elsewhere.
Management Rating: 4
Management Description: Tables were opened quickly, list was well-managed, controversies handled properly. This is not an easy room to manage, but they do a nice job with it.
Comps Rating: 4
Comps Description: I believe Bally's offers $1/hour on the Harrah's card, and time is tracked at the table, so no need to swipe out with the main podium. HHJs are also offered for quads and straight flushes, and in the morning, there is an "Aces and Faces Cracked" promotion. Pretty typical smaller room mix of comps.
