Treasure Island (TI) Player Room Review Nice place, but a little cramped 09/12/08, Player: CosmicHobo Total Rating: 3.50 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Generally, the room was good-to-excellent - tables, chips, cards, chairs etc, but I'm only going for a 3 here because it was a bit too cramped for my liking. In some chairs, you have to continually shift back and forward to let people through and it gets a bit distracting. The big pillar in the centre of the room doesn't help either. Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: On my visits there I found a mix of players at the 1/3 NL and tournament games ranging from pretty poor to pretty good. Game selection is important here as you could end up on a table of weak players who think they're good or some pretty strong and very aggressive players. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: Generally very good, with no major mistakes I can recall, and kept the games moving well. Not quite a 5, though, as some of them seemed to to be pretty disinterested and dealing on autopilot or talking to someone on another table. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Service was good but slow, though I think that's partly because of the time it takes the waitress to get around the room and manoeuvre through all the tight spots and players. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: Didn't have to deal with them much, but they seemed pretty good and were pretty quick to respond to calls, except when the dealer had a pillar between him and the desk when the response was occasionally slower. Comps Rating: 5 Comps Description: $2 an hour and some decent promos - they were also quick to hand out tickets to the cash prize draw when they were won. Back to Treasure Island (TI) Room Review |
