Planet Hollywood Player Room Review Nice room but... 08/12/08, Player: MOO Total Rating: 3.45 Room Quality Rating: 5 Room Quality Description: Totally classy and very plush. Adjustable chairs (like the Venetian!) and new felt on all the tables, it definitely felt comfortable. I don't like the wood ring around the outside of the table for your chips, but at least it doesn't have the horrible, cold, clacky sound of MGM's marble option. A little noisy at times being so close to the unfortunately named "Extra" lounge. The only thing "extra" about it was the "extra douchy" frat boys drinking their fill there. But all in all, super plush. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: Easy players. Lots o' fish to be had here. Solid and educated players beware, however, there were bad beats galore as these players don't know much of strategy. Calls so bad, I had to up and move to Venetian in order to stop getting drawn out on. If you are patient and play only strong hands, definitely a place to make some overall profits. Dealer Rating: 2 Dealer Description: 2 out of 5 dealers really knew what they were doing. It seems they hired on looks instead of quality, the dealers consistently failed to keep the game moving swiftly and in general had a lax attitude towards their jobs. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Never had to wait more than 20 minutes to be served a cocktail. The waitresses were friendly and fairly efficient. No real complaints here. Management Rating: 2 Management Description: The management generally had a easy going and not very professional attitude most of the time. Any disputes were dealt with quickly and fairly, tournaments were run well, but the management's attitude made it feel more like a home game than a real honest professional room. Comps Rating: 1 Comps Description: Comps, what comps? Disappointed that they didn't even have a poker room rate! I would of at least appreciated a buck an hour comp so I could get a sandwich at the oh so delicious Earl of Sandwich every once in a while. Back to Planet Hollywood Room Review |
