Venetian Player Room Review

Great room...will come back
06/23/08, Player: ricro

Total Rating: 4.05

Room Quality Rating: 5
Room Quality Description: Most spacious big room in Vegas, hands down. So nice to be able to back away from the table without bumping into someone sitting at the table behind you or impeding the walkway. Right off the casino floor and near the front entrance, so it was a good location. Restrooms weren't terribly convenient, but not too far of a walk.

Competition Rating: 3
Competition Description: 2-5NL was donktastic. People knew what they were doing, but weren't afraid to move their chips around and be very aggressive. Pick your spots, and get your money in good and you can win some nice dough.

Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Very few mistakes. As usual, some dealers were more friendly than others but I didn't have any jerks.

Cocktail Rating: 2
Cocktail Description: Sometimes non-existent later at night (even though there were still 20+ tables going), and often took awhile to bring out the order. Many sported serious attitude and weren't friendly. And they weren't nearly as hot as the waitresses at Wynn, which made the attitude even more surprising.

Management Rating: 4
Management Description: Well run and efficient. Had many floor men stationed throughout the room to let the front desk know via headset when there were available seats and to escort/direct players to their tables. Did a good job of keeping tables full, and made fair and reasonable rulings (even in certain situations asking the table if they objected (short buys, etc.))

Comps Rating: 4
Comps Description: Received the poker room rate, so that's all I cared about since I was staying there. Didn't go after daily comps, but did receive a $10 food voucher for playing in a Deep Stacks tourney.
