Mandalay Bay Player Room Review The last room for locals, anybody else who knows anything about poker 06/15/08, Player: Yappy Dave Total Rating: 2.55 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: The room appeared nice, located next to the sportsbook. It made for a nice view if you got a lucky table. The horse-track tables are never a friend of mine, as it makes sliding chips from the wood surface onto the felt and troubling experience. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: The players were not great, despite their likely argument to the counter. I didn't find a single player to be better than a 6/10 with most being a 4 or 5. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: Decent dealers, but they often were just in robot mode, which in my lucky case, cost me my entire stack when the dealer wasn't paying attention on my return to the table, requesting to be dealt in. Cocktail Rating: 1 Cocktail Description: I cannot recall a single time hearing a cocktail waitress in the 4 hours I played. Management Rating: 1 Management Description: On page 54 of the Yappy Dave poker blog, you can read about a discussion between management and myself.
