Planet Hollywood Player Room Review Nice Room. Play was OK. 06/11/08, Player: Darrensanity Total Rating: 4.15 Room Quality Rating: 5 Room Quality Description: Many say "It's just a room", but I loved the look and feel of this room. Very comfortable, and even though it wide open to the Casino entrance, it was still very quiet in there. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: This was only tournament poker by the way. Didn't experience the cash game. The tournament players were pretty weak. This was at the $60 10:00 am tourney. Problem is, they were bad enough that I didn't last. Lost w/QQ to K7 off, and JJ to 66 on a huge preflop raise. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: I thought the dealers were right there with most others. Not quite as outgoing as they could be, but did an OK job dealing. The thing that through me off was that they did not rotate dealers. The same dealers stayed at the same table the whole time. The only reason I was able to see more than one is that my table was busted up and I was moved. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: I think the hottest cocktail waitress in Vegas works there. Beautiful, with a hint of South America in her somewhere. Very pleasant, and quick with drinks. Unfortunately, she was the only one working the tournament, and the bar must be a mile away, because there was a lot of time between cocktails. If it wasn't for the wait, this would be an easy "5". Management Rating: 5 Management Description: I have to give it to them. The tournament is slated to have a limit of 50, but they had enough alternates to add another table, so they did. They quickly brought in another dealer, and away we went. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: I'll give it an "average" because I had no direct experience with the comp system. I only played 1 tourney. I will say, however, that the $500 in extra chips for the tourney if you have a card was a nice little bonus. My entire group took advantage of that.
