Planet Hollywood Player Room Review Great poker room 05/28/08, Player: romo9mvp Total Rating: 4.25 Room Quality Rating: 5 Room Quality Description: The room at the PH was relaxed and relatively quiet (in comparison to the MGM which was excessively noisy). Tables are in great shape, no obvious wear and tear on anything. Players were friendly, as were the dealers. There was a lively dealer's game behind us that was a qualifier for the WSOP, so it wasn't boring. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: Table started off pretty easy, just 4 or 5 of us. You can push people off pots in late position pretty easily, and most hands weren't raised pre-flop. Towards the end of my session, the dealers started busting out of their game and sitting with us at our 1/2 NL table, and the comp got a little tougher but was still beatable. Only took a couple hands for most of us to realize that the table dynamic had changed competitively a bit and we adjusted OK. Dealer Rating: 5 Dealer Description: Dealers were outstanding - attentive, instructive, patient, and very friendly. They definitely made you feel comfortable playing. Cocktail Rating: 4 Cocktail Description: Cocktail waitress came by often - I was often just finishing up a rum & coke when she came by to take orders (and I drink 'em sorta quickly when playing poker). There were only 3 or 4 tables going (early afternoon) and it was the same waitress each time, so I'm not sure about when things get busier, but no complaints with the cocktail service. Management Rating: 3 Management Description: I was seated immediately, very cordial, and they congratulated me on my cashout. Not sure what else I can ask for. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: Only played for about 90 minutes - I'm on their A-List (Player's Club) and they scanned me but I never inquired about their comp program. I've read reviews about the high hand jackpot but never saw any information on it when I played. Back to Planet Hollywood Room Review |
