MGM Grand Player Room Review
All around best.
02/11/08, Player: Priapus
Total Rating: 3.50
Room Quality Rating: 4
Room Quality Description: The room was not the fanciest I visited such as The Venetian or The Bellagio but the atmosphere was more inviting. It was very clean. I had heard that the marble racetrack could cause problems with stacking chips but I didn't have that problem, probably because my chip stack never got that large.
Competition Rating: 3
Competition Description: For the most part the players were pretty easy competition, college kids, moms and dads wandering in. Later on though say after 10 you start seeing some serious players. The semi pro players I met at the MGM were much friendlier and quicker with advice than the ones I met at any other casino.
Dealer Rating: 3
Dealer Description: The dealers were very nice and personable. They did make some mistakes however so you should always be watching your interests.
Cocktail Rating: 3
Cocktail Description: The cocktail waitresses were older and not as attractive as some of the younger ladies at other casinos but they were very nice and quick. The drinks were just ok, their red bull wasn't real red bull.
Management Rating: 4
Management Description: The management was friendly and the player lists were well organized on a large screen over the managers desk. The players card was very easy to sign up for. I just gave them my license and they brought my card to the table.
Comps Rating: 3
Comps Description: Comps were average at $1/hr. MGM does not do any jackpots that I am aware of. Definitely not a bad beat jackpot as I was told by a dealer.
