Flamingo Player Room Review Flamingo's room, more action than I expected. 07/16/07, Player: hopeimnotafish Total Rating: 3.00 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: The room has quite a few more tables than I remember from the last time I'd been in the Flamingo. If we weren't staying there for the first time in a few years I may not have set foot in the place. The chairs were comfortable enough, but the room was a bit cramped. I enjoyed the laid back afternoon games to the louder more obnoxious crowd at night. Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: I was more in my element during the day. I'm new to playing no-limit and the constant yapping of the late night game I played in threw me off my game somewhat. That's something I need to get better at, or avoid. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: They have a rule that any chips that cross the line, unless you state the amount of your bet before the chips cross the line, are the amount of your bet. I don't like the rule but I can live with it, but if that is the rule they need to enforce it EVERY TIME. Which they didn't. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Cocktail service was a bit hit and miss, but they were pleasant. Management Rating: 3 Management Description: I had no problems with the people that ran the room. The electronic player list seemed to work smoothly. They weren't overly friendly, but I have no complaints. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: They had a bad beat jackpot that was up to $140,000. I think it took at least aces full of sixes beaten to get the jackpot, and within a few days it would drop to aces full of fives if it didn't get hit. They also had high hand jackpots.
