He sits at the $15/30 table with his laptop and plays FOUR $20/40 tables of online poker. This is the poker monster, and he’s hungry. Content: No, the poker monster is not Daniel Negreanu (Wynn’s celebrity poker ambassador). Rather, this guy is apparently just a regular poker player at Wynn with a deadly passion for cards. He sits at a live $15/30 game, and plays four $20/40 tables at Empire Poker. Several people from the 2+2 discussion forum have played with him, and they report that he’s a very tight player. I guess he can afford to be pretty damned selective when he gets 5x the number of hands as everyone else at the poker table. An intriguing question is just how much action does this guy have in play at any particular time? Well, it's a lot. 30xBB at each Empire table, plus his $15/30 buy-in, so he's easily got over $5k in play. The poker monster also apparently has a good reputation with the poker room staff, which is probably a requirement if they’re going to allow you to play online poker at the table. If anyone has played with him in person (or if you’re reading this Mr. Poker Monster) please send me an e-mail. I’d love to hear more about this guy.
