Summary: 2+2 Author David Sklansky recently debuted his new poker game at the Bellagio. The game is called “World Poker Tour, All-in Hold'em”, and it is played against the dealer, not other players.

Content: David Sklansky, the well known poker player and author from 2+2 Publishing, recently introduced a new variation of Texas Hold'em poker in Las Vegas. The game is called “World Poker Tour All-In Hold 'em”. Right now, it is undergoing a test-run on the casino floor at the Bellagio. It is played more like blackjack than poker, with players betting against the dealer, not each other. The game is expected to attract poker players that have watched poker on television, but may still be a little shy about sitting down in a real poker room filled with card sharks.

The Bellagio has only one table on its main casino floor. After three months, an analysis of play will be forwarded to Nevada gaming regulators. Full approval by Nevada gaming officials may take up to five months. And, if approved, the game could be played in other casinos soon.

I have not yet personally played the game, but a few of my poker buddies have told me that the game is popular. There have been large crowds of people around the game, with all seats being full. According to my friends, most players appeared to be having a great time. I'm looking forward to trying it myself, hopefully this coming weekend.
